All examples will be generic.

I'm trying to set up subdomain sub.domain1.com via virtual hosts in Apache. I am currently hosting two other domains domain1.com and domain2.com via virtual hosts and they both work flawlessly.

I have configured a CNAME record in domain.com so that sub.domain1.com points to domain1.com.

This is what I put in httpd.conf:

ServerName sub.domain1.com
DocumentRoot E:/sub

However, every time I go to sub.domain1.com, it goes to domain1.com.

Any suggestions?

It's usually good forum practice to post how you did it, so if someone has the same issue. They don't have to repost.

I'm guessing you missed the bit where he said he didn't know how he did it

Back on topic though, the config he listed should have worked, so the error would have been something else within his config. Without seeing the whole file itself (in the broken state obviously), all we could do is speculate. So there really isn't much point to this thread now.
