Help troubleshooting UT3 shutdowns!!!

442 Views 7 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  Maddog7771
I play mostly UT3 these days and recently i got this annoying problem where after about half an hour sometimes an hours playing the game suddenly crashes mid-play.

Iam using the latest WHQL drivers 182.08.

My Ultra is slightly OCd and peak temps are less than 90c which is very good for an Ultra I think. (recently got a new PCI slot cooler for it)

My CPU is OCed an peak temps are 65c with P95.

RAM is Not OCd

I looked in Problems reports and Solutions an the following is the error report for UT3.

Description

I've heard of this game crash randomly before while other games worked fine.

Is the game patched?
I had the same problems. I played around with some video settings, and I believe checking "frame rate smoothing" worked for me. This is a common problem. Some people also said underclocking the video card worked also. Try that if my trick doesnt work for you.
yeah its got the latest patch.
OK I solved it.
My RAM was running at 2.2v when its supposed to run at 2.3v.
Also I upped the CPU voltage in the BIOS to 1.475 from 1.425.
Dunno which was the culprit. but now it works.
yeah i was gunny say i had the same issue and adjusted the ram and boom and it also had to do with drivers for me to
