I'm sitting on around 300 dollars and am looking for a good mobo + cpu + ram + hd any particular suggestions? I've been looking at the tri-core 2.6 and it seems like a good cpu would prefer to build around it if possible.

Those are both great RAM choices, although if you're using a big heatsink such as a Xigmatek S1283, you won't be able to install the ram in the first 2 dimm slots, as the tall heatspreaders will not fit once the heatsink is installed.

Just something to keep in mind when purchasing RAM.
