[Kamakazi]

Okay so since the fixing of the family desktop was so successful, lets try my laptop.

I stopped using it when I got my desktop in my specs, and now when I turn it on, I hit the power button, the power light comes on, stays on, the CPU fan spins, but no HD activity, it should at least bump to bios without a HD shouldn't it? But it does nothing, the fan spins nothing comes up on the screen, I have tried reseating everything, and hooking up an external monitor instead of using the LCD that came with it, all to no avail.

Specs;

Inspiron 5100
P4 2.2 Ghz (ish)
374 MB RAM
20 Gig HD

No Battery at the moment just hooked in through AC power.

im not the best with laptops but does it have onboard graphics?

Hold the CTRL key while you start it up if that doesnt work try using shift.
