Hi, I am building a new pc and would like some opinions on my choices. I made 2 different builds so will list both, but I am open to suggestions on any parts to change.

I was also looking at the gtx570 but was not sure if it was worth stretching my budget for. Anyway here is what i have so far:

Build 1:

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD4
RAM: 8GB (2x4GB) Corsair Vengeance DDR3 PC3-12800 (1600)
Graphics: 2GB XFX HD 6950, PCI-E 2.1 (x16)
CPU: Intel Core i7 2600K
PSU: 750W XFX Black Edition, Modular, 80 PLUS Silver
Case: Coolermaster HAF 922
Cooler: Corsair Cooling Air Series A70 2 Fan CPU Cooler
SSD: 120GB OCZ Technology Vertex 2E, 2.5

Build 2:

CPU: Intel Core i7-2600K
RAM: 4GB Mushkin (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800
Graphics: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 470 SUPER OC 1280MB
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD4 Intel P67
SSD: Kingston 128GB SSDNow V100 2.5"
Case: Coolermaster CM 690 II Advanced
Cooler: Prolimatech Megahalems Rev B CPU Cooler
PSU: Coolermaster Silent Pro 850W

You could save $100 and get the 2500K and go up to a GTX 570


For the second rig, are you going to be doing SLI? You shouldn't need 850w PSU. Could save some more money there and get a solid 500w or the corsair 650TX unless you plan to SLI then I would go with the 750.

I will take a look at the gtx 560 thanks and as for the psu the only reason i chose that was because the only cheaper modular PSU that was sold on the website was the OCZ 750W Fatal1ty Series. It had decent reviews but not great so i went with the 850w. Both builds are from different websites i found to have good prices and i have only chosen parts available from each website for ease.

I never thought about getting the 2500k but would this give better results if i switched it and got the 570 too?
