im trying to help my bro with his sempron 2600 computer my uncle gave him
by incresing the fsb we get 1.98ghz till the ram starts to give in
then i found out i can do the pencil trick to it, tried it and it dident work
ive redone it about 5 times now and it still wont take
its a via kt333 chipset so it should work.
ive done the pencil trick before with my athlon 900 and 1200 both worked flawlessly (till i poped them ) in a asus mobo with a voltmod
i just cant see why this aint working

A pencil trick if possible would need to be performed neatly, if possible at all.

Your best bet is to purchase a used "ABIT NF7-S version 2" motherboard
that has a great bios to give you oc'n capabilities yur looking for.
Used prices can be near $25. or less I suppose.

When doing the pencil trick sometimes you need a higher grade of pencil than at other times.. Go to a print shop or drafting supply shop and get a .3 mm pencil with H fills..... ;-D I got tired of pencil mods on 462's and now only use super glue and silver circuit writer.

If you have any DDR400 the NF2 mobo will support it vs. PC2100/PC2700.
