i did OC the 8800gtx with rivatuner , but im new n OC'ing , so i dont know wts the limit here ,
anyway my help considers how to OC the Q6600 , i OC'ed it automatic & it gave me 2.5 , not more ,

2 things, first the ASUS 600i series do not OC quads very well, so dont expect much above 3.oGHz. And second, the NVIDIA 600i series does have FSB hole issues. There are some frequencies the boards just wont run at. This is due to the Chipset strap. There is more info in the 680i link below in my sig. So basically when you think you have hit a wall, try jumping 40-60 QDR to jump past the dead spot.

Can you list the voltages you have tried?

I would think you need about (just a guess on vcore since every CPU is different) 1.35v vcore, which is a generous estimate since many can run 3.0GHz at 1.30v vcore. But you can lower once you get it stable. Then set the NB to 1.35v - 1.4v and the FSB termination voltage (VTT) to 1.35v. See if that gets you anywhere with a 1333QDR.

when you first boot your computer you should see something allong the lines of "press ______ to enter setup" just find what key it says to press (the delete key is common) and press that key BEFORE the computer boots to windows. this should take you to your bios and in there you should look for a menu option for cpu volts and frequency. thats where the oc settings are. just remember to take it slow and test for stabillity with a program like prime95, orthos, or occt and monitor your temps with realtemp, coretemp, or everest. i would say start by upping the fsb a bit, then test stability, if stable up the fsb a bit more and test, if not stable try uping the vcore a notch then test again. just keep repeating the steps till you achieve a stable oc that you are happy with. you might find these links helpful

I did read all the links , i got some idea abt Overclocking ,
i did press DEL once the pc started , got in the options page , i found that i got Auto Overclocking , 5% , 10% , 15% & 20% , i got to 15% then the PC froze , i did try to Manual OC , i raised the clock from 100 to 115 but i didnt c any change in CPUZ , so dunno how to deal with this Motherboard

Are you sure you raised the FSB clock? It sounds like you might have been raising a different setting. 100 or 115 FSB would be extremely low number.
