Corsair has made quite a name for itself in the past few years by releasing some excellent enthusiast-grade PSUs. However, its latest release is aimed at the mainstream gaming-market, attempting to provide the perfect balance between performance, features and price.

The new power-supplies will come in 600W, 700W and 800W varieties and all feature a single 12V rail. This can handle up to 65A, which should keep them running stably even under load. Each of the PSUs are also 80 PLUS certified and feature a low-RPM 140mm PWM fan to keep things quiet.

I thought the GS series was already out. Well, at least in the US. My closest CompUSA has the GS600 and GS700 on the shelf now. Last time I went there was 5, maybe 6 weeks ago.

I like how you can change the LED color.

OMG Gappo.....

Anyway, I see a difference in price but let's look as some reviews on these suckers. I wonder how they'll stack up against the TX counterparts.

I'm wondering if these are etter than the Corsair Professional AX series

Corsair is the best for me,and those scandals are just attempts to damage their reputation.

They've been out for a while in many markets.

CWT PSHII platform, a cheaper and slightly better-performing version of the PSH platform used in VX550, TX750, and TX850, rated at 40*C, with a mix of Japanese and Taiwanese capacitors, with fixed cables, blue LED fan, and a three year warranty.

Think of them as cheaper versions of the TX series with a glowy fan.

AX850 has worse voltage regulation than the cheaper HX850, the AX1200's first batch has a high rate of units with extremely annoying coil whine.

Yep its a gaming PSU. Look at the label. Its designed for cheap, crappy "gamer-oriented" cases that don't have a vent on the bottom for the PSU. (I'm looking at you, Antec)
