I upped the voltage on my x1900xt to 1.425 on ati tool; after disabling that process that limits the video card to 2d. BUT when i hit default clock on a new profile like u said, it stays at 499/594. Which i dont understand. So i just try manually overclocking since i can actually set the clocks now without it blinking back to default, and at 520 mem clock, i artifact. Maby the msi drivers have a different setup than what your guide suggests. I ran 3dmark05 and scored 10750, which is half ur crossfire so i think its doing fine. But i just wana be able to overclock, but it still wont let me after all that. What do you think?

Did you read the guide completely? I think Chozart mentions that there about 5 different voltages you will need to set, not just the one. If you havent set the memory voltage correctly then its no suprise that the Mem Clock is artifacting at 520.

Do make sure it's ATItool 25 Beta 14.... not 15, since that one is buggy as ***

And do make SURE That the ATI2EVXX.EXE is disabled!

First of all it wont let me pm him =-? only administrators and moderators i guess.

Secondly, i DID disable the process ATI2EVXX.EXE when opening ati tool 0.25 beta 14. But when i go into processess i dont see that process period. i have three CLI.EXE which might be a replacement to the ATI2EVXX.EXE due to my MSI drivers.

After i disable the ATI2EVXX.EXE process the fan on the cpu runs up to hair dryer speed for a second then back down. I just hope this might be help to deciding whats goin on.

Results after everything on the list:

No, the CLI.EXE is Catalyst stuff..just the interface. Those won't not be in your way.

ATITOOL disables the other one on start (the little popup in the beginning).

Now, did you attempt anything with Overdrive before in the Catalyst drivers?

In step 4) you did set the clocks at 625 core and 750 mem, and then click on the 'Set Clock' button? It won't get the settings unless you hit that button. Then in step 5), save the new clock settings to the profile.

PS: to be able to PM, you'll need (I think) 10 rep. At this moment, yuo can indeed only PM directors and admins. Oh well, I found your thread
