What are your CPU / GPU temps while playing games?

When is the last time you have opened it up?

It could be dust has clogged up the heatsink on your CPU/GPU. This would cause the fans to have to run at a higher RPM.

Also, what kind of a noise is it? (Fan noise, buzzing, clicking, humming, etc.)

Are you using a stock air cooler?

Maybe the cpu gets real hot, than the motherboard ramps up the pwm fan(s)(if you have one) to 100% to cool down to a more cpu desirable temperature.

Open up After Burner and check the fan speed(%) of your gt 220. That could be the problem if its getting too hot.
