Hello from scotland!<br />
i have a fx53 with 1 gb ram and 6900gt graphics <br />
however up in the bedroom i have a<br />
ds4 mobo<br />
2 gb corsair 6400c5 ram<br />
artic cooling freezerpro 7 cpu cooler <br />
hiper 580w type r psu<br />
aerocool areoengine case with 250cm side fan<br />
a hanns g 19 inch widescrren monitor on order<br />
i will be ordering a e6600 soon <br />
this only leave me with the graphics card decition , do i get a x1900xt or similer just now , or a cheap card and wait till g80 or r600 will be out ? <br />
the reason i cant use the 6800 gt is that it is agp .....? <br />

Welcome to the forums. That's a pretty sweet rig. If you fill our your system specs under User CP you won't have to type that all the time.<br />

Liek I said, welcome, and enjoy your stay. And to answer your question, I would say a 7900GT or an x1900XT would be a great card to buy right now, as DX10 will need some time to mature before it gets to be great, and DX9 is still going to be great for the next year or more.

thanks for the nice welcome guys , and the suggestions on the graphics card front ! , if i get a good deal i might x fire 2 x1900xt , , should make crysis fly lol<img src="/images/smilies/thumb.gif" border="0" alt="" title="Thumb" class="inlineimg" /> then i might fold with it , should be good for folding!

Chozart has dual x1900s and his rig absolutely scorches. Might be a little too big of an investment this close to DX10, though. I think a good single card solution would be best for you.

all my new bits are still in the boxes lol , ds4 looks so good it seems a pity to use it lol

EDIT: Almost forgot to mention the postbit hardware profile. As you can see everyone else has the specs to their main rigs under there posts. This helps us help you when you have questions. To fill this out go must access the UserCP > Edit system specs ( on the left in the table ).
