I recently built a new system in a silverstone SG-09 case with a Galaxy gtx 670 GC 4GB and had a question about high temperatures. I am getting temps of just over 80C when the gpu is stressed above 90% load in either games or furmark. This seems rather high considering I have 3 fans blowing directly on the gpu. I have also tried the fans as exhaust and saw almost no difference in temps.

The gpu fans are set to 50%, which is the highest they can go before they start become noticeable. I can lower the temps to the low 70's by turning the fan speed up to 75% but the fans become quite loud. Is there something wrong with my card or does this seem normal?

Are there any 670 cards or 7950/7970 cards that can run at full load and still remain quite without getting such high temps? I would like to add a second card in the future but cannot see doing it with the current temps I am getting.

I'm not an expert when talking about the 'airflow', but It looks like you have a poor airflow in your case (it's the case problem not the fan)

and for the 670, I recommend an ASUS 670 Non TOP edition....the fans on the card is incredibly quiet...
