Hey guys whats the problem here? In some games I get constant solid 60fps all the time and i randomly get hiccups, it feels like my fps drops down but quickly shoots back up to 60fps! This is really annoying! Whats the cause?

Temps are okey!

What is your OS / Video card

i had a very very similar issue
OS is Windows 7 X64, I have 4Gigs of RAM. Q9400 and HD 4770.
What do you run in the background?
Are you using a generation 1 SSD ?
Normal background. I'm using an ordinary Seagate 160GB 8MB cache HDD.
What's the game?

If you're playing MW2, don't worry, it's a common problem.

Normal won't be the same for everyone ...
Please make an effort as your issue is most probably due to something outside your games.
I'm thinking antivirus, hardware monitoring software etc ...

It's called stuttering. Happens often for me on ATI cards.

RAM loading, bro.
How much VRAM do you have?

Axxess+ is probably correct. I went from a 512 MB 9800 GTX+ to this 1792 MB GTX 260 Core 216, and I no longer have this momentary hiccup/pause problem in certain spots in certain games where I used to have it with the 9800 GTX+. I later learned it was because I only had 512 MB of memory.
Wow alright then. I game on a 17" monitor. Strange though I get it sometimes not until I re-seat my hardwares. I get it in games like Rugby 08 and PES 09

512MB. Other games work fine now I think its just the switch to 9.11 drivers.

Like I said before, I had the 512 MB 9800 GTX+, and then I upgraded to the 1792 MB GTX 260. With the 9800 GTX+, I had this momentary pause/hiccup problem at the same places in certain games. But with the new GTX 260, those pauses don't happen anymore. After asking about it, I learned it's because I have much more VRAM now. Plus, it helps to have a better card, but still: much of it has to do with how much VRAM there is.

I doubt its the VRAM, this occasionally happens not after I re-seat hardwares including the CMOS. Its just weird ._.
i had stuttering before and it was because of my motherboard so I got a new one
But this isn't stuttering. It's like a brief pause or 2, and then it's smooth again. It's because things are loading into VRAM - or it's related to VRAM somehow, at least. Now that I have more of it, I don't see it anymore.
