i have 2 gts 250s in SLI

they are close to each other when hooked up in sli

the first one is at 70c in game and the second one is at 58c load
are these temps normal?

also idle are 60c first, and 45c second

It is pretty normal, but that is a larger difference than normal. Try swapping the cards and see if the temp difference is the same. Some cards run hotter than others.
On my setup, I have the cards marked so I know which one goes on top (the card that runs cooler).

The top card is most likely the one running hot. Heat from the bottom card radiates upward and warms up the top card. It's totally common, and your temps are actually pretty darn low for a SLI setup. I wouldn't worry at all about those temps.

As Blupher suggested, you can try swapping the cards and see if the temps are still way different. If they still are very different, I would reapply the TIM on the hot card (or both cards while you are at it).

Keep your fan at 70% and you'll be fine then. ^^ Really, even with those temps, you're doing just fine. Nvidia cards naturally run HOT due to their high bus widths.
