I'm thinking about upgrading my memory to some OCZ Plat.. But here's my question. My MOBO is rated for 667 mem. With my OC, even with a 1:1 divider, my memory isn't running at the rated 667mhz. If i purchased 800mhz memory and with my OC it was below 667mhz, is that ok?

Don't run a 1:1 divider with ddr2 ram. Set it to 667 first and oc it to see what it will do. Then back it down to 533 if need be. DDR2 ram runs thru a faster bus than ddr ram does.Your mb is set up to run a divider backwards from ddr ram...ram is faster than cpu.

I cannot run it at 667. My OC fails. I can up to about 3.56ghz, but any higher needs 1:1. That's why I'm thinking about pc6400 800mhz platinum. I just can't find it online. Nobody carries it.
