AFAI have heard, people are not very happy with their 5830's
if not for dx11, 4890 is a very good choice over it,and practically no advantages over other 5830's
above review is a biased review, might be cooler, but if u can invest that extra bucks over a new card, like 5850, i'd say go for 5850
erm..just realized....ehat is ur question/?

Well, you don't have your rigs spec so I can't help you comparing the his 5830 to what? I will tell you that I own two his 5830s and they are great cards! I can play the most demanding games on all ultra high settings; games like crysis. I used my his 5830s in a crossfire setup.

Im not disputing your opinion as I know the 4890 is pretty much equal to the 5830. My 5830s (in CF) were great imo. Thats all. I was hoping the op would respond and clarify his question. Since I now have 470s in SLI, my 2 month old 5830s are collecting dust and as such, if the op wanted to purchase the 5830, I was going to PM him and provide an irresistable offer on both of my 5830s.
