Well, that's kind of a tough fit. SLI boards are pricey. This is the best I could do, CA.

MSI NF750-G55 AM3 - $110

AMD Athlon X2 245 2.9GHz - $70
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...82E16819103687

G.Skill DDR3 2x2GB 1600MHz - $84
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...82E16820231303

Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 500GB - $60
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...82E16822148395

Samsung 22x DVD Burner/Reader Dual Layer - $35
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...82E16827151175

$358 before shipping or a case... you'd be better off to get a cheap case locally, there are no cheap free shipping cases that will fit an ATX board there.

That's a really tight fit. And I don't know your zip code so I don't know what shipping would be. If you didn't need SLI it would be much more manageable.

I'd *strongly* recommend you sell off the 9600GTs, buy a 4850/GTS 250 with the money you get from them (or 4830/9800GT if you don't get very much) and you'll right off the bat save $50+ on your motherboard, and have fewer PSU concerns.

Edit: You could save some money by going for 2GB RAM instead of 4GB.

$54 instead of $84.

See the issue with what he wants? That's well over $400...

What OS is he going to be running? It says soon to downgrade, if he goes with XP all he'll need is 2GB (preferably 2x1GB).

In a few reps he can make a wanted thread and pick stuff up cheaper or look around OCN for some parts.

Should probably go Intel then, AMD SLi boards are much less common, and much less likely to show up here.

Probably.

He could pick up a good C2D rig pretty cheap with a 750i FTW board or something.

Well you'll need to post it in the Wanted section.

Shipping from OCN sellers usually isn't bad.

You could look at this rig Hometoast has for sale.
Not an SLi rig, but you could find the board later and have a pretty good rig off the bat.

Shipping shouldn't be horrible and Hometoast is a great guy.

Alright, thanks again

i'm thinking of just selling these things then and giving the sound card off as a freebie.

maybe 2 9600gts for 50 bucks each?

sound card for free? xD it is a decent one too!, broke some pins on it though, but those don't really connect to anything special.

if i sell the graphics cards then i don't think i'll worry about getting a gaming rig then.

I'm not too sure if both cards work, or if the soundcard works. But they are in good condition. So my two choices would be either (going to be testing them in a weeks time):

Sell them, 9600gt for $50 Canadian (no shipping)
and the sound card (i'll pay for shOripping)

Or based on the suggested (i'll be able to use the PSU, old IDE dvd-drive, old 17in CRT, and the old HDD):

Azza Orion 202 Black ATX Mid Tower Case 4X5.25 2X3.5 5X3.5INT 90MM/120MM Red LED Fans Window No PSU
$50.11

Scythe Zipang 2 CPU Cooler Heatpipe Heatsink LGA1366 1156 775 AM2 AM3 W/ 140MM 1000RPM 51.43CFM Fan
$35.48

G.SKILL F3-10666CL8D-4GBRM Ripjaws PC3-10666 4GB 2X2GB DDR3-1333 CL8-8-8-24 Core i5 Memory Kit
$107.88

AMD Athlon II X2 240 Dual Core Processor Socket AM3 2.8GHZ 2MB Cache 65W Retail Box
$65.09

MSI NF750-G55 ATX AM3 750A SLI DDR3 2PCI-E16 2PCI-E1 1PCI HDMI Sound SATA GBLAN Motherboard
$118.47

Sub Total: $377.03 (no taxes or shipping) - shipping will be free though. www.directcanada.com
