How about a Harry Potter MMO?

I was thinking about all the MMOs that are out and of all the genres that have been used, and I was thinking about how a Harry Potter MMO could work... And I think that a lot could be done with the Harry Potter universe. There are apparently rumors about Warner Bros planning on making an MMO based on the HP series, but there's no concrete facts about it.

I was just wondering what you guys may think... It seems to me that if made well, it could be a pretty successful game.

It wouldn't have to be all magic neccesarily. The Harry Potter universe is full of all kinds of creatures and races that could be playable instead of a wizard. Playabe centaur or half-giants with physical attacks maybe? I dunno, it could be fun I guess it would depend how they actually executed it.

And its imperative that the character animations are so cartoony someone figures out you could make a video of them dancing to some ridiculous song!

There is actually a Harry Potter MMO in the works. Being produced by Turbine, the company that produced the "The Lord Of The Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar" MMO.

I'm tired and bored of magic-based MMOs..give me a MMO with railguns, nailguns, handgrenades, sniper-rifles and BFGs

Star Wars anyone? (Yes, it's EA, but they seem to manage alright with WAR)

omg yes lol! i know this might sound gay but the last few times ive watched harry potter ive thought about how much fun it would be to be a character in that universe. clearly a video is the next best thing. Although i have enjoyed many of the games made of hp ive always been left wanting more. solution ? MMO
