How are my scores for my Q9550 @ 4.2 and my gtx 260 @ 675/1482/1125

I get 19320 in 3dmark06 and P13175 in Vantage

How are they?

Seems about right, I score 18k but in XP, so that looks ok for Vista

The Vantage run is without Physx yeah?

I just ran vantage without changing any settings.

Just set to Performance.

you should go into vantage and disable PPU. and run it again to see what the real scores are.
oh ok.

I will disable PPU and get back to you...
yea, with my gtx 280 it scored 15000 and i was wondering why my score was so high compared to benchmarks that i saw. then i ran it without ppu and got 11000. my 4870x2 got 14000 stock with PPU off. your 3dmark score looks good. i was only able to get about 21k with my 4870x2 but my cpu was at 3.8ghz.

You're not going to beleive this, but I just broke 20k with my gtx 260.

I've been tweaking core and shader like crazy and they just went up from 19774 to 20405

I'm going out for a while, going to run OCCT v3.0.1 to test out my new clocks,

they were 100% stable at 675/1482/1125 but now I got it up to 750/1530/1125...

seems good to me, i pulled a 19k with my old 260 and a e8600 at 4.8

not to be mean but 20k isnt that hard with a good CPU clock. and post a compare link of said 20k

Yea 3dmark06 is heavily CPU dependent. I'm sure with a better CPU clock and if I overclock my card I could get about 24k.Have you tried vantage with those clocks?

Wasn't trying to brag.

It's just that I've been stuck at 18k for a while now.. even at 4.2GHz, I only get around 6000 for CPU score on 3DMark06, hence my disbelief when I hit 20,400.

Here's the link: http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=10365789

Just gonna do some more stability tests on my card, and I'll try Vantage after.

I think thats pretty good with a single 260, nice work. I thought my 285 20k was pretty good, now I must work on it

Didn't realize the ppu disable thing makes a difference, I shal try that too when I get home.

yeah I was unaware that Physics was "enabled" before hand.

I will Disable PPU next time I run Vantage... I just want to make sure my GTX 260 clocks of 750/1530/1125 are fully stable first..

edit: I got two blue screens with the core that high. I will lower the core a bit and hopefully it's stable

Maybe the shaders are too high too.. I know for a fact I can get 675/1482/1125 stable, so i'm going to work from there.

Blue screens as in the computer reboots? That shouldn't happen when stress testing a video card, that would lead me to believe your overclock on the CPU or RAM is unstable. I've never heard of BSOD's from video card overclocking.

Also 20k is very impressive with a single gtx260 and your Q9550. I only get 18k in 3dmark06 with my e8400 @ 4.1ghz. I guess a Quad is that much better.

yeah they're from my 260, trust me

lol this cpu is over 24 hours stable on prime 95, will take anything IBT throws at it.

And they occurred while I was stressing the GPU via OCCT

Anyway I re-ran Vantage with PPD disabled and I got

11xxx

Any more vantage runs with that set up? I've been doing some vantage runs, but only gpu to see how changing the clocks affects things.
