I am new to benchmarking. I have finally decided to just bench my PC to see what is hits in terms of score. Seeing that I have been tweaking my laptop for the past week with pretty much whatever I know.

Specs are in sig under the HP laptop. Thoughts and any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Mostly basic stuff. The main 2 that I have changed is a bios that forces the amd card to be the only card active. And the beta driver installation.

These 2 allowed me to jump up some of the graphic settings in some of my games I play.

I decided to do some testing. I am a noob at this so any suggestions are always welcome.

So to see if my little basic tweaks actually are worth doing i decided to do a 4 phase test. My laptop has switchable graphics. If you don't know what that is basicly I have 2 video cards. The first one is integrated. The basic Intel graphics 3000 card. (crappy for gaming....) Then I have a Radeon HD 6770m. It is pretty decent for the lightweight occasional gaming I do. The whole idea of this is for power savings and performance when needed. My bios allows me to either run one card or a seamless switch between the 2 based on needs.

So to see if my basic tweaks are actually worth doing I decided to do a 4 phase test with 3dmark 11.

Phase 1 - Test with stock regular drivers with the regular bios setting.
Phase 2 - Test with stock regular drivers with fixed grfx setting in bios.
Phase 3 - Test with new beta AMD drivers with the regular bios setting.
Phase 4 - Test with new beta AMD drivers with fixed grfx setting in bios.

Results

Phase 1 - Results
Phase 2 - Results
Phase 3 - Results
Phase 4 - Results

Thoughts?
