Currently have an ASUS Sabertooth 990fx R2.0 with 2x XFX Double D 7850s

My first GPU covers up my PCI-E x1 slot because it is so big, I thought about leaving my 2nd GPU in the 3rd slot and putting the first GPU down in the 4th slot, but was wondering how big of a performance loss would it suffer?

Starting to think the Avermedia Live Gamer HD card isn't worth getting if my GPUs will suffer a big loss just to free up my PCI-E slot.

Read on my mobo specs and it supports quad SLI / Crossfire with 16x, 8x, 8x, 8x. So I figured putting my cards in slot 3 and 4 would be 8x 8x if I am correctly doing it right.

I lost about 300 points on 3Dmark11 by switching my GPU from PCI-E X16 slot 1 to PCI-E X16 slot 3, which was connected to my Southbridge, and the first one to my Northbridge
