How can i overclock my graphics card

Hello there people i am new to this here site and havent yet had chance to introduce myself,
First of all i would like to know if there is anyone that can assist me in overclocking my graphics card, its a geforce 6200v+ expert vision 256mb agp*8, the card is a decent one but it does not have a fan on it, obviously if your making the card run faster its needs to be cooled down, would i be able to just mount some decent case fans around it to make the airflow better, or would i be better getting a artic cooling system for it, also as for actually overclocking it, is there some software i can download that does this for me.
Any info on this would be muchly appreciated
Cheers Matt

Welcome to
verclock.net Matt!!

You can download coolbits 2.0 (a registry edit that allows nVidia's own overclocking utility to be accessed from the video card control panel)

I would highly suggest finding an Arctic Silencer or similar (Zalman is good too).

If you don't want to purchase something immediately, you can try the case fan trick, but a new heatsink and fan will work best.

I moved your thread to the appropriate section of the forum, should get plenty of attention here.

Yeah, coolbits is very simple to use. However, I also like a program called ATI tool. Its name implies that it is only for ATI cards, but it does work a little on nVidia cards. You can overclock, and it can find the max stable speeds for your core and the memory before you artifact. Plus, the 3D view makes a very good GPU stress test. If you want to monitor temps, use Riva Tuner. Unless your card has the temp sensor pre-enabled, you will have to use Riva Tuner to monitor. My favorite programs are Riva Tuner and ATI tool. I still occasionally use coolbits for quick changes, but not usually.
