How can i test my PSU for faults? and other random psu questions...

I suspect and this is just a good guess. My PSU is causing a boot up isuue.

Now how would this be. If, in my case. I can run my computer for hours on end at full load and nothing will happen. But about 20% of the time i will get a stall booting up and the screen will not get to bios.

Now, the only thing i can put it down to as to why a 2 year old PSU is failing would be power cuts, of which i have had a few.

Any other suggestions as to how power cuts could affect the PSU or my boot issue or....

And finally, how would I test my PSU for faults as im kinda cash strapped.

That "Powermax" is really "Junkmax", so it could very well be the PSU, and I'd replace it in anycase.

Protip: Anything with "max" in the name is crap. Don't ask me why, but every brand with "max" in it puts out total ****. Coolmax had one or two decent units, but they never made it to store shelves, and the rest are awful. Raidmax is junk, Powmax was god awful, Akasa Powermax is bad, etc.
