--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi guys Im new and I have a couple of questions. First of all how am I certain that my 6600GT is running at 8x. On the Nvidia display it says Bus: 8x. So is that fine?

Also for temps my XFX 6600GT will Idle between 50-52c. Games will hit in the 60's and running 3DMark03 highest temp i got was 76c same with RDHITRBL or whatever it is.

Also My system is a 2800+ @ 2.08 XP Barton
512 PC2100 RAM
XFX6000GT

and im only pulling 8005 on 3Dmark03. Is that fine?

One more thing I tried to overclock my 2800+ by taking the multipler and increasing it from 12.5 to 13 so it will be 13x166. But computer wouldnt boot up and when it did it took the memory down from 133 to 100. IS my memory whats holding me back? Thanks!!!

That is kind of high. Look and see what your core slowdown threshold is and see how close it is getting to that. 128 aperature is fine.

threshold is 145 dosent even ever get passed 80 at all. Only time it goes 70+ is when running 3dmark or rdhitrbl

also... whats it mean when your vcore jumps sometimes.. weak power supply? its at 1.712 95% of the time then sometimes it will jump to 3 for a sec and go back down. is that kind of fluctiation ok. same with the +5 +3 and +12.

just clocked it from 2.08 to 2215mhz im happy. no temp increase either. ran 3dmark03 went to an 8100 score. highest temp the card got to was 73. Not bad i think esp since most games only go up to 65 under major load.

also one last question for today lol...is it a good idea to check the option for fan always on for 6600GT in the coolbits option, or will that just create unneeded heat in the case.
