Im just going back to an old email that I used to use and want to start using it again, however it seems to have been spammed I deleted all the emails out of it and in just one weeks time 65 trash emails have accumulated in there. I'm wondering if there is a way to stop these from coming in, any software...anything...

Does Yahoo not have a way to filter emails..?

If not, then just make a GMail account and start using it. I've never touched Yahoo, but everyone I know I have made switch to GMail just because it's better overall with everything.

Use Gmail, then when you register for sites, use special syntax to filter them

Say your email is [email protected], and your registering for Site1.com

in the registration put:

[email protected]

It will still come to your gmail normally, it ignores the +sign, but you can setup filters to filter out, for example all the emails from site 1 would auto be dropped into a folder. This way if one site gives out your email and starts spamming you, you can block that address. Though its no guarantee, just good to know what sites gave out your email I guess.
