How do you know if i7 920 is D0 and "B" Batch?

Look at the batch number. If there is a "b" in it, it's a "b" batch. As far as the stepping, look for "SLBEJ" in the S-spec.

d0: s-spec says SLBEJ
B batch: FPO/Batch# has a B in it (fifth figure)

don't be sad if it's not B batch though
.. A batches can hit the 4.0s as well

Yup. My A batch is cranking 4.2 an 1.328v with HT.

So I have a B batch D0. Is "B" the model? Because CPU-Z reports my model as "A" with 5 stepping and Revision D0.

Was just curious about that.

im curious if these batches and serial numbers show on the box so i know what I'm buying
yes they do show on the box.
