How do you run a game on dual monitors?

Hi, does anyone know how to run a game over two monitors? i have 2 20" Samsung T200's res - 1680 x 1050, and i use display fusion to stretch my desktop over the two screens. When iv been running games in the past ie bioshock, ut 3, i have only been using the one screen, whilst my other screen shows the desktop or in some cases might be getting used for the internet. I have tried to use bioshock over the two screens using window mode, then trying to scale it manually but it just wont budge. The in game highest res is 1680 x 1050. Now i know the maximum res for my gpu is 2500 x 1600, but is it possible to lower the res on both screens to enable scaling? Or do i need another card in crossfire?

p.s i know the fps will probably suck, but i just wanted to try it for the crack!

The only way I've accomplished this was Windowed mode and stretched. There could be other ways but I don't know.

DualHead2Go is a hardware device that will make both screens like one giant resolution.

Playing across 2 monitors sucks cuz you have the bar in the middle from the separation. Playing across 3 is good though

ok im not sure the exact resolution but to do it you go to the ingame settings (not all games are capable of this however) and raise the res to like 3200x1050 or something like that. i know rainbow 6 vegas 2 does it cause thats the game i did it with.

this is what you mean right?

Cheers for the reply, yeah thats basically what id like to do with some of my games.Your probably rite in the fact its only certain games which will utilize the second monitor, but thought id get a second opinion. I'll try that program to merge the two monitors, see if i have any luck, thanks.

edit - read that wrong, dualhead2go - hardware device. Is there no software alternative?
good luck! hope it works out for you! let us know and keep us updated with your findings. dual monitor gaming is pretty fun until like said above that stupid speration right in the center. shooting games are kinda a pain in the butt. but driving games are cool! : )
Still no further forward. The highest resolution that Bioshock for example gives me is 1680 x 1050, which is the native resolution of just one of my monitors. If i go into graphics options, select window mode, i can drag the game so that it is running on both screens, problem being it just wont scale to fill both screens. Think its a no go, for this game anyway.

what other games do you have? if you have ranbow 6 vegas 2 it should do it.
GTA IV which is a sandbox game, theres no way that will scale. Same goes for crysis warhead. The only other games iv been playing as of late is far cry 2, ut3.

I'll try out far cry 2, c what happens.

Play with one or three. Playing with two is terrible, unless it's a game where you can set it up where vital information is on one screen and the rest is on the other. (MMOs, strategy games, etc)

Two for most games, including FPS, is bad, because your crosshair is bisected... so stick with one, or go for three.

I used to run 3 with a TripleHead2Go (3 19"'s) and I gotta say - the games were gorgeous on it, especially stuff like Armed Assault.
