Hey guys
Complete AMD noob here. Long story short I think my company's software is running slowly because of a customer's old Opty powered server. I did a bit of Googling and I see it was released in 2009, so it's not THAT old, but I can't really find any meaningful benchmarks for it. The specific problem I'm facing is that a big file takes about an hour to generate on their server (which is under minimal load and has plenty of resources at bay) while on our laptops at work it takes around 10 minutes. We're all running SB-E i7s in our laptops (specifically a 3632QM in mine) with 8+GB DDR3 so they definitely aren't slouches. Just wondering how the opty ranks these days compared to stuff like our laptops.
Thanks
