I've been thinking if it is possible to go beyond 2.7Ghz with my sandy. I'm just worried on d right amount of voltage to apply to go past 3.2 maybe. Did anyone do it with a similar setup to mine?

Most Sandys max on air is a tad bit over 3G with a premo stepping!

Also, there's really no way to know for sure how far your CPU can go until it's put to the test. In other words, the only way to know is to know (i.e., to do it).

But, as Probyn4Lyfe suggests, one of the keys if your CPU is up to it is adequate cooling.

Good luck!

Absolutely not

Hardly any Sandy's will reach 3GHZ even with adequate cooling.

It is a hard thing to accomplish.

Do not go over 1.55Vcore on air. (1.6 is pushing it, but i doubt you will get there due to temps anyways)

Hardly any Sandy will ever reach 3.2Ghz

Try and aim for 3Ghz because even that is asking alot if you are already struggling at 2.7

Good luck.
