how good are the stock intel coolers on P4 prescotts

are they really that :turd:? ahah and what air cooler do you think i should get?

They are barely able to handle a stock cpu. Go with a big typhoon and a good fan for it.

yeh i was thinkin about doing that now, how much do you think i could clock my 3.4 too?

you should be able to hit 4.0 or higher. Any fan with 100cfm or close to it will do fine.

what about the asetek vapochill coolers?

they seem good?

They are good. I would suggest either a Big Typoon, or an XP-90 or even XP-120 (if it fits). They all use 92mm fans. Panaflo work great.

stupid stock fan couldnt handle my prescott at stock speed under a load. it got to like 70C! So i got me a xp-90 with a vantec tornado from a fellow O/C.net user and man has it made a difference. The Tornado at 70% speed cools my CPU at 3.6ghz to 42C. I love it
