Get a Windows 98 or later boot disk and start up with that. Once you get to the command prompt type in FDISK /mbr

Here's where you can get some: www.bootdisk.com

Boot into Windows, and go

Start > Run > cmd

At the command prompt, type "fixmbr" (without quotes) and upon reboot there should be no more bootloader.

Just rebooted, GRUB loaded, but didn’t do anything, put in that Norton ghost recovery cd had it restore the master boot record, and it works fine now.

Would fixmbr do the same thing? Also is GRUB completely gone now?

Throw in your XP cd. Get to the recovery console (i assume you know how) and type:

fixmbr

and say yes to whatever it asks

and then

fixboot

and say yes to whatever that one says

Yeah restoring the master boot record is what fixmbr does.
