I know that ivy bridge make more heat... But can it actually handle more heat than sandy bridge? And about how much we are talking about if this argument is true. Because otherwise i really dont see the point to ivy bridge for customer ofc.

Because of the die shrink, Ivy Bridge can handle less heat, but should theoretically (and does until overclocking) produce less heat.

TJ max for Ivy is 105*C and for Sandy it's 98*C, with either you want to keep your temperatures below about 85*C though.
