I'm not sure how power usage scales with quad 4770s. I've never seen that configuration before.

750 is adequate 2x4770 power usage=gtx 460 and scaling will cut it down a bit

Looking for a new backup rig as i can get 2 4770's for a hundred bucks and i will just buy 2 more at 85 bucks a piece.

What i'm thinking is this....

1055T 95W
Quadfire 4770's
4GB Ram
X25-V

Other things i have yet to think of

I'd skip the second two, quadfire scaling is abyssmal. Two 4770s sounds perfect for a backup rig imo. Remember a 4770 is about like a 4850.

Then you could get by with a 550W.

Yes, it could run on that, no problem. The 4770 uses just enough more power to allow for the 6-pin, if the clocks were lowered it would be fairly easy to run it without a power connector.

It dosent matter whether its 750 or 850. Do check the rail voltage, the input and stuff like that. But get the 850 if your budget allows just to be safe. Remember to get a quality PSU. I would recommend Seasonic. They make awesome PSUs. Try not to get the Acebel or Corsair HX series. Andyson is great too.
