I have the Q9550 and the ZALMAN CNPS9500 to cool it. Saw great reviews on New Egg so i got it.

How much do you guys think I would be able to Overclock it. The case is going to have 4 fans so it should be cool inside. Can anyone estimate if I can reach 3.8 or even 4.0?

Most of them will do 4.0 on air yeah, especially with your motherboard too. I would say 4.0 is an acheivable goal.

I've heard Zalman's aren't that great for quads. Maybe 3.5-4 Ghz?

Buy the XIGMATEK Dark Knight.

It's pretty good, and cools really well for a decent price.

Either that or the Scythe MUGEN-2, which I think actually cools better for a bit cheaper.

Get a Megahalem or a TRUE or Xiggy Dark Knight. I couldn't find the TRUE or Megahalem on Newegg, but here is the Dark Knight.

I recommend the Dark Knight. It might block one ram slot so just run your ram in slots 2 and 4; that's if it block it, it might not.

That Zalman is very old tech, not very useful.

which chip did you get the c1 or e0 cause the e0 can oc a bit better, with that cooler i'm not sure if you can hit 4 GHz.

Mugen 2 has superior price/performance. I would get it over any other cooler on the market now. And never, never, never, never make a decision off of a newegg review.
