I rebooted in safe mode and everything. This trojan installed adware which i removed, but left a folder called deluxe communications, within that folder is an empty folder called "microsoft.NET", which I know cant be the real microsoft.net. My question is how do I delete it when its in use, and how the heck can an empty folder be, being used by something. Veyr weird and driving me up a wall, thanks for any help.

The most common way is to delete the file in safe mode.<br />
<br />
I find that the easiest way is by using this program called Unlocker.<br />
<br />
You can get it here: <a href="http://ccollomb.free.fr/unlocker/" target="_blank">http://ccollomb.free.fr/unlocker/</a>

or try doing it from cmd (command prompt), so its like:<br />
<div style="margin:20px; margin-top:5px; ">
<div class="smallfont" style="margin-bottom:2px">Quote:</div>
<table cellpadding="6" cellspacing="0" border="0" width="99%">
<tr>
<td class="alt2" style="border:1px inset">

<b>del /f /s <i>filename</i></b>

</td>
</tr>
</table>
</div>if stuck type in <b>del /?</b> and hit enter to see how the syntax works

I have done everything humanly possible to delete this folder, sceduled a boot delete, tried killbox, EVERYTHING but access is denied to the folder.... Getting irritated, bt dont want to reformat because my monitor was flashing black and I think I changed some settings when I first got it, so it works good now, and I dont want to screw it up again...
