How to diagnose symptoms?

266 Views 3 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  shughard
I have seen plenty of great guides on over clocking here and on google. What I have not seen is something to explain when to change what settings. All of the guides I have seen pretty much say play around with your voltages until you get it stable. Is it possible to create a guide that tells you what to do when? If it does this then raise this ect. ect.... Or is this not possible is it truly just trial and error?

With the way things are made not every board, chip, card etc. will produce the same. That is why you see most post say tweak a little and check. Most post cover the grounds for adjustments and the tweaks will tell on there self...either it runs, stops or just will not start. I understand what you are saying but its just tweak to your desire
