ok i have just found out that for me thee are serious graphics problems caused by DX11 (and it does not matter if you GFX card does not support DX11)

heres a picture of what the glitch looks like

Yes,its looks very unplayble,so if you get this glitch here is what you gotta do,pretty simple actually

1. right click on the GTA IV shortcut
2. hit properties
3. In the Target box at the end hit spce then type down -dx9
4. play the game

I don't see why it would use DX11, when the game is DX9. Odd, but nice fix.

Anyone figure out the fix to the flickering shadows yet? Besides turning shadows off obviously.

damn for some reason the bullet holes and the fire wont show up and in mp the car doors and other stuff wont load,but at least it works

I was about to search on Google for a fix for this because it has become unbearable to play GTA:IV with it.

EDIT

this glitch has been patched by both Rockstar Games and ATi (since i updated the game and my drivers at pretty much the same time i would not know which one was the cause of this)
