darn.. there's one in the hallway but my room temperature is definitely different than the hallway temperature. my room's more stuffy and warm.

Any thermometer will do - as long as you've calibrated it and you know it's accurate. Set it near your case. Best if it reads in centigrade, so you don't have to convert.
