How does the heatsink go on?
Remove the original heatsink?

I think that heatsink is only for the M.2 slot closest to the CPU socket. It's not for the M.2 slot you used.

^ this is accurate

Don't remove the heatsink sticker from the SSD, just stick the one that came with your mobo on top.

Top slot won't (shouldn't) work for the i5 10600K (assuming his signature is accurate). It is for RKL only. Could try to stick it on the bottom slot. Might lose some sata ports depending on which slot you use, but if you don't need all of em, shouldn't make a difference.

I have 6 sata devices, might be raiding 2, does raid require sata 1 & 2 port if so i'll have to move my m.2 to the third m.2 port. I also have a sata 3 vantec 4 port raid card.
