Hello everybody. I have a problem. I bought OCZ Titanium 9200 2*2GB KIT.
and it theoreticaly has 9200mb\\s ok it's cools
As all you buy a new RAW it sets automatically to 800mhz/ ok
And i can set the RAM at 1150 easily.....but when i check it speed in everest it show 7500 or 6700 or another speed/ at my default cpu fsb 266
But if i put it to 400 ( FSB ) i can push the speed to 8900 \\ 8500 or about 9000/
The question^ is it any way to make my memory work at 9200 without overclocking the fsb ? Or it's just this memory to fast for this core2quad/ and i need at least 9450 Core with 333 fsb///
thak you very much/
My PC
Core2Quad 6600 2.4ghz
RAM OCZ 1150mhz\\9200 \\ 5-5-5-18\\2.25 by waranty
Gigabyte EP45-DQ6 bios 13ver
HDD 250
PSU 750 chieftec

Firstly, PC2-9200 is merely marketing speak that says that that kit can do a theoretical max bandwidth of 9200 MB/s.

If you want nice high number in Everest, you need to have FSB & RAM speed as high as possible, while keeping tRD (Performance Level) as low as possible.

IOW, you need to OC., & tweak, a lot.
DDR2-1150 RAM is in no way shape of form designed for stock speeds or basic OCing; it's designed for heavy OCing.
