How To: Not loose your mouse with extended monitor + dummy plug

If you have multi GPU setup on a rig that the family uses, or someone else, and they complain that they keep loosing the mouse in the second (dummyplug) monitor. Here is a solution. Orient the monitors like this:

The bottom right is ideal because people often don't click down there, but it can be arranged to any other corner. I suggest not using the top right though.

Enjoy.

Nice. But then again, if you have Ultramon, you are probably using it for a multimonitor system. Too bad it costs $40/copy, otherwise that would be a good solution as well.

LOL.
The only issue is that if you get your mouse on that second monitor you will be really lost. Just go up and to the left.

I positioned it on the upper left, seems to be working well. Imma start a "Days without incident" count. To count how long I go without yelling at my computer.
It'll prob never hit 2...

wow thanks! that was starting to piss me off too.
My mouse wasn't the problem, it was all the apps that I have opening up top right that I kept on losing. Not now that is...
Thanks for this!

Is there any way to get this to work in Windows 7? Somehow the screens aren't "draggable"...

I have no issue doing this.
you must have the desktop extended to the 2nd monitor first though.

Yeah I got it to work. Not in the same way as the OP, but it works for me
