If the card ever goes over 100C you definitely would gain from better cooling. I idle at 52C, and load at like...eh 70C (just made that up lol).

Graphics cards can get pretty hot (80C+) and be ok.

Don't let that 7600gs hit 100C. Ati X1900 series are the only cards I know of that won't fry at those temps. Once you past 75-80C on the stock cooler (which I doubt you will) grab a new one. Your temps should not increase too much just from clock increases, volt increases raise the temp a lot more.

I have a pny 7600gs 512mb agp and i'm still lern how to oc it, my old 6600 did a lil better, it think i might need a bigger psu. because on start up it say it lowers setting to prevent damage to card, but still at that it won't oc that far.

Actually it is not a power supply problem, it's a power sentry warning that goes off because of the timings set on the card, most 7600gs' have this same problem.

Don't waste the money on a new power supply, if you haven't modified it, contract PNY and RMA it till you get one that doesn't do it.

I'm in the same boat problem is I installed an aftermarket heatsink on mine so i'm stuck with it.
