Prevent Firefox from Hogging Memory while Minimized

Firefox tends to use up a lot of memory when you start opening a bunch of tabs, but what you don't know is that even when you minimize firefox, it still uses the same amount of memory. Now here's how to prevent that.

1. Type about:config in the firefox address bar.

2. Right click the empty space to the right of the filled in columns. Click New and then Boolean.

3. Enter config.trim_on_minimize and then choose true.

Firefox could work slower when re-maximizing, but I haven't noticed anything.

You can find the article here. Thanks for reading!
