no you have to do a fresh install on the ssd...you can't just take it off the 1tb hdd you have to re-install on ssd and then put everything else on the 1tb hdd

Also do not get a raptor they are old news and the ssd is the way to go. SSD runs so much faster that the prices of the raptor is not worth it u know!!

You don't want to 'take it off' of your 1TB and put it on your SSD.

What you want to do is a clean install of Windows to the SSD, then reinstall whatever programs and things you need.

Then use the 1TB drive for storage, large game installs, etc.

As long as you're not using more disk space than the size of your SSD, you can absolutely move your current install from one drive to another (or, in this case, to an SSD)

You use CloneZilla, Ghost, Acronis, etc., for that. You are not *required* to do a fresh install. If you have dozens of apps loaded, it's a real pain to have to reinstall everything. If you only have basic Windows and a couple of apps, however, then a clean install might be worthwhile.
