I've been having problems trying to run demos in Call of Duty (the first one). I type (without quotes) "\imedemo 1" in the console and I get "Unknown cmd "Timedemo"". I then try to run the demo which came with the game with "\\Demo timedemo1.dm_2" which also gives an "Unknown cmd" error message. Any ideas?

What do you mean by timedemo ?

If you want to record something you just enter in console /record demoname

Not record... Call of Duty comes with a preloaded demo that I want to run. I did all of the things in the first post, but I can't get it to run. In fact, it gives me "Unknown cmd (command)." Maybe I should look into downloading a demo that someone else recorded?

After the demo. So it's like a benchmark.

EDIT: Just tried the "play" command, and I'm still getting "Unknown command" error messages. Please note I'm using Call of Duty Deluxe Edition version 1.3.
