I've had to reset my cmos, reformat etc just to get my PC working. After about a week, i am getting random restarts and BSOD's constantly, along with constant firefox crashes. How do i test for hard drive errors?

Run HDtune and see what that throws back at you on the S.M.A.R.T tab.

Check your hard drive's SMART data for any irregularities in something like Everest or HD Tune.

You can check for bad sectors in HD Tune as well, or use Windows' error-checking tool (right click drive -> properties -> tools).

Not only would i use HDTUNE to check the hdd for errors and bad sectors but you should dl and use memtest86+ and check your memory for errors also.
