Hi OCN, my sound card is in the slot right under my 7950 and it blocks off 80% of the first fan. So I was thinking of using a 32 Bits Flexible PCI Riser Slot Extender Cable ( Link ) to move the sound card down 2-3 slots.

I'm guessing that this should work with no audio delays or other issues, but I have been wrong in the past so I thought it would be best to check first.

The sound card in use, is a Asus Xonar DG

I've seen people use these with graphics cards, so I don't think there should be any issue.

yep, you will be fine. people use risers quite often.

Neighbor's rig I built uses one of these for the Xonar DG. Works like a charm.
