How would I keep my grandpas computer clean

My grandpa is a smoker, hes a Vietnam veteran, and I am not going to suggest he doesn't smoke around his computer, because I feel people should be able to do whatever they want (As long as it doesn't harm other people)

Anyways, I just ordered a nice AM3/AM2 build for him.

And I don't want tar to build up in his PSU, on his heatsink, and on his motherboard, so how would I prevent this? The case will have one fan grill, then the PSU fan area.

I'd put filters on all the intakes, and stress that they should be cleaned often. Can't think of too much else other than that.

Side Note:
Vietnam vet = grandpa....that makes me feel old.
All vets I know from that era are my parent's generation.

Yea, panty hose will work as a filter. You can also get attachable fan filters pretty cheap too (frozencpu has some good cheap ones). I might go that route if it's easier for your grandfather to remove/clean them.

Tell him that Charlie may be in the trees. If Charlie is in the trees, and the filters are dirty, Charlie will see him. It'd be like lighting a smoke at midnight - perfect target.

Definitely get a case with dust filters, but if I were you, I WOULD suggest not smoking around a computer. One of the dumbest things you can do, really.

Tar wont really build up. I been using a PC while smoking for years. Maybe there will be a residue or film that will attract more dust.

I have always had a can of air just so I can keep my parts clean.
