Howto: Disable that "SLI Multi-GPU rendering is disabled" error

1120 Views 5 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  gonX
The best way to do it is open the registry and set the flag to disable it.

Go to Start > Run
Type regedit and click ok
Browse to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\NVIDIA Corporation\\Global\\MediaCenterTray]
Set the value to "NvCplDisableBalloonNotifications"=dword:00000 001
Now exit the Registry Editor.

Hope this helps someone.

I think that this glitch has been fixed in Nvidia's drivers for some time now.

Good little piece of info for those on older drivers, have a cookie.

This was fixed about a 9 months ago.

If you are using those drivers.... updating is more important.

Ah, sorry if it is old.
A friend of mine needed this info not that long ago. Granted, he is NOT a power user.

Again, sorry for the late post.

No worries. He may want to update drivers though.

Why? I used 84.56's for a long time without problems, and they were the last revision before the new driver CP
