Following up on our Thermal Compound Roundup - February 2011 and Thermal Compound Roundup - March 2011 reviews, we are adding five more thermal compounds to our roundup for a total of 15 different models from Antec, Arctic Silver, Biostar, Cooler Master, Coolink, Deepcool, Evercool, Gelid, Noctua, Prolimatech, Spire, Thermalright, Xigmatek, and Zalman. In this review we will see if certain products are superior to others.

Quite an interesting article. Such a big difference between Prolimatech and Thermalright's Chill Factor paste, wouldn't have thought there would be such a vast thermal range.

Yes it is you need atleast 3 remounts of each paste to be accurate.
Yeah, to minimize any margin of error, but I didn't read that they did that in their test.

They also couldn't control the temperatures very well. Sometimes out of your hands though.

HAHAH want to know why it was 3 vs 2? becuase both costs around 1000$. it was a 1000$ worth of ATI vs 1000$ worth of Nvidia.

that was a review of a $1000 gpu solution... u can buy 3 amd gpus for $1000... and only 2 nvidia.

back on track. Yes the accuracy of the review is possibly skewed without multiple testing.

Indigo and Prolimatech seem to be the crowned leaders.
A few of the pastes he used were older products. For instance, he used Arctic Cooling MX-2 when AC MX-4 (not 3) has been out.

OCZ Freeze is my TIM of choice these days. Where dat? Also, AS5 does not offer performance comparable to modern TIM. I did not glean any useful info from this article
